Luxurious New Albany Classical Kitchen

The original kitchen layout featured a peninsula which was removed and an island with seating was added to the new design. The kitchen cabinets were replaced with white painted cabinets with inset doors and drawers to maximize storage. The white cabinets also paired well with the existing crown molding. Custom molding was created and added to the top of the cabinets to match client’s existing crown molding. Additional molding detail was added to the custom hood and is held up by two hand carved mullions. Four more hand carved mullions were added to the island for extra detail. Seeded glass panes with lead caming were inserted into two doors next to the hood. Glass shelves were also added for an open shelving look.

Carrara marble tiles were applied to the backsplash to offset the carrara marble countertop helping the space feel open and bright. Polished nickel hardware plays off the Viking stainless steel appliances and gunmetal grey veining in the backsplash and countertop adding a touch of cool even in hot weather. Can lights along with glass and polished nickel pendants play off the white molding and add another touch of elegance. A classic Rohl faucet hovers over a white apron sink for a timeless look. Dark Hardwood flooring adds warmth and a luscious sheen while simultaneously flowing throughout adjoining rooms.

This classic white kitchen remodel in New Albany, Ohio showcases the use of clean lines, soft curves and silver accents. Super white painted cabinets by Grabill Cabinets were custom made with inset doors for a seamless look. A mixture of raised and recessed panels on doors and drawer fronts make an attractive contrast throughout this kitchen. Viking stainless steel appliances were expertly placed for maximum use of the space along with a SubZero wine cooler in the island. The soft curve of the ogee edge on the marble countertop is mirrored on the raised panels and decorator end panels. Other soft curves are found on the Rohl faucet and Barcley apron front sink and hand carved corbels on the island and custom vent hood. The cararra marble countertop provides permission to use different gray and silver finishes. The graphite gray veining compliments the lead caming on the tempered glass door inserts and the polished nickel hardware as well as the polished nickel Hudson Valley pendants. Honed carrara marble tiles were used on the backsplash to compliment the polished carrara marble countertop. Lastly, the dark hardwood flooring paired with the white cabinets blends with the natural light for the feel of a large and inviting space.
