Entertaining is one of the first things that comes to mind in this Toldeo, OH new build. Two islands in a kitchen that feature custom alder stained and painted cabinets perched on top of Hallmark French white oak floors redefines open concept. The alder stained, furniture quality, inset cabinets that feature a raised panel door style can be found floor to ceiling along the perimeter. A dark painted alder island with a distressed finish becomes a showpiece in the center of the kitchen with a creamy, caramel and chocolate granite top. The same granite can be found on the second island with seating. Here the lighter granite is paired with darker granite that can be found on the perimeter counters. The use of two granites unites all 3 areas while allowing each to have their own function. The raised panel door style is carried throughout and can be seen on the columns and end panels. The medium stain on the Alder compliments the warmth of the Coronado colored stain on the Hallmark floors. The painted island that shows the distressed natural wood provides a much needed rough element to the refined space. Oversized pendants above the island fade to a perfect fit in the entire space and play off the stainless steel appliances that provide a break from the warm wood tones.
